Recording an EP (typically 4-6 tracks) is a highly focused process that can be tracked and mixed over a few dedicated weekend sessions, making it ideal for rapid releases. A full album (10+ tracks) requires a much longer, block-booked timeline with extensive pre-production to ensure sonic consistency across the entire body of work. In a nutshell, an EP is about capturing immediate momentum, while an album requires a structured, long-term studio roadmap.
To maximise your actual recording time, please export all your backing tracks or stems as high-quality WAV files with any heavy limiting or master bus processing turned off. Ensure all files are clearly labelled, bounced from the exact start point so they line up perfectly in our DAW, and have your project tempo (BPM) and key written down. Having your files organised on a portable drive or cloud link means we can plug in and start tracking immediately.
